We visited Shelter gardens during their Winter Wonderland event. The evening Christmas lighting was a feast to the eyes. Kids will enjoy them a lot. It was very cold, but all in all, a good experience to have. They also had hot coffee available just outside the gardens.
Lovely place to visit and enjoy a stroll. We visited after lunch on a summer day. Enjoyed the water features and flowers. I wish I could stop by more often.
I love going here throughout the year to see the ever-changing blooms and foliage, as well as spending a lot of time watching the koi. Spring is my favorite time to visit. It's always peaceful and well maintained.
A beautiful park full of flowers and trees from Missouri. This garden is free and open to the public. A great spot for photographs. The school house on property is a replica of the Brunswick one room school house we’re the founders of MFA Oil and Shelter Insurance attended school. It’s furnished with furniture from the time period. At christmas they have been putting up a nice lighted walk through experience which is great for the whole family!
The garden is beautiful with cute little spots to have a fun day with friends or family. It looks beautiful with the fall colors and leaves falling. We visited on a rainy day and hence could not enjoy completely but being there on a good weather makes for a perfect picnic spot.
Beautiful little walk in gorgeous surroundings. Peaceful. Also have a small one room school house for a great photo op. It's free and open to the public.
Peaceful, well-maintained Park with paved pathways winding around the 5 acre property. Enjoy multiple water features & waterfall with coy pond. I liked that all of the vegetation & tree variations were labeled. All 5 senses go to work & I …
Our daughter & new son-in-law had a small, perfect wedding ceremony there, it was a beautiful setting.
Great place to visit and take a walk, admire beautiful flowers, and learn. This garden is well maintained and clean. Tables are available for picnics and multiple benches if you just want to take a break and admire your surrounding. A definite must see while in the area!!!
An absolutely beautiful place. Shelter Insurance does a fabulous job keeping this garden looking amazing. They have a security guard walking around so you feel safe taking your family. They do a fabulous Halloween and Christmas walk-thru decoration. A definite picnic spot!
